O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)

(Quran 49: 13)

☆Islamization of Sciences☆

Allah (SWT) created the heavens and the earth, the sun and the moon, and the rest of the universe. He created all plants, animals and placed them on Earth, and He decreed upon them the laws by which the natural order of all creation functions. In this perspective, The Beautifull Name Al Aleem (SWT) could also be translated by “The Scientist” Who created the universe with His Divine Science. Together with the Ayat in the Quran, the meticulously organized universe provides another proof of Allah (SWT)’s existence.

These Ayat of Allah (SWT) in the universe can be explained in the way different elements and systems in the natural world (from atoms to stars) are all structured, arranged, and related to each other. Indeed, contemplating the skies, the plants, the oceans, the mountains, the animals and the alternation of the day and night, and thinking about the process of childbirth are certainly clear Ayat that everything is created in a state of perfection. All these Ayat are a great proof that Allah (SWT) is the One and Only, the True Scientist. Indeed, the universe is like a silent Quran with so many marks of the Beautiful Names of Allah (SWT).

Islamization of Sciences

On the last note, the concept of science in Islam is the concept of Tawheed-based science, namely the belief in Allah (SWT) alone in all aspects of His creation and worship. In fact, knowledge without Tawhid will cause humans to forget themselves and neglect their obligations and goals in life.

On the other hand, a Muslim who does not seek knowledge is not fulfilling completely the divine duty because knowledge can only be learned as Allah (SWT) says “And that man attains only what he strives for (Quran 53:39).

by Zin Eddine Dadach
